What this website uses

The form uses one first-party session cookie necessary for its security and operation. Optional Tawk.to chat may add cookies and browser storage when explicitly activated; these are separate from the form cookie. The website adds no independent analytics or advertising tools.

Name: sotabytes_contact. Provider: SotaBytes S.L. Type: first-party technical session cookie. Purpose: link the browser to the form session to validate the CAPTCHA and cross-site request forgery (CSRF) protection. Duration: the browser session; no persistent expiry date is set. Some browsers may restore it when restoring a previous session.

It is set when the form loads. It contains a random identifier, not your name, email address or message. It is configured as HttpOnly and SameSite=Strict, and also Secure in HTTPS production. The five-minute CAPTCHA limit applies to the security challenge, not to the cookie lifetime.

Consent

The technical sotabytes_contact cookie and storage necessary to remember your choice do not require prior consent. The general panel offers “Necessary only”, “Accept all” and “Settings”. Tawk.to chat is the only current optional category. Its script does not load if you reject that category.

Your choice is saved in local storage under sotabytes-consent-v2 (version, chat acceptance or rejection and date), for up to 180 days. It contains no name, email or messages and is not sent to an external service. It is shared by Spanish and English pages on the same origin; another browser or domain may ask again.

You can change your choice using “Cookie settings”, available on the pages. Disabling loaded chat reloads the page, so save any form text first. This stops loading the service here; it does not delete conversations or data already stored by Tawk.to. Remove previous storage in your browser. Acceptance loads the service on later visits while the choice remains valid.

Blocking or deleting cookies

You can view, delete or block cookies in your browser privacy settings. Find the cookies or website data section and select sotabytes.com to remove its data. Blocking this cookie may prevent the form from working; you can contact [email protected] instead.

External services and changes

The CAPTCHA, fonts and first-party website resources are served by this website; the form does not integrate an external CAPTCHA. Language selection uses separate URLs without storing a cookie preference. Your light or dark theme choice is saved in browser local storage (sotabytes-theme) until you change it or clear site data; without a saved choice, we follow your device theme.

Using Cloudflare as a DNS provider does not itself mean that this website sets Cloudflare cookies. If additional hosting or security features are enabled, their actual behaviour will be checked and this information updated before publication.

Tawk.to chat storage

The external widget is requested only after acceptance. According to provider documentation, it may use tawk_uuid_* to recognise visits (the property-specific variant has a stated lifetime of six months), twk_idm_key and TawkConnectionTime for session connections, and keys such as twk_token_* in local storage or PreviousNav in session storage. Actual names and lifetimes must be checked with this widget before publication; this list describes provider documentation rather than a verified browser inventory.

Tawk.to may receive technical information when the service loads, as well as the messages you enter. See the Privacy policy for the provider, purposes, rights and transfers awaiting review. We do not automatically share contact form fields with the chat. You may leave it off and contact us by form or email instead.
